Our Story

From A Small Family Meal… To A Remarkable Journey
 
The journey of Quán Bụi began in April 2009, when Mr. Danh Trần first entered the F&B industry by acquiring a branch of Bobby Brewers café. It was a humble start — a time of both learning and experimenting — that laid the foundation for his passion for Vietnamese cuisine and culture.
 
Two years later, when the previous model had to close, instead of following the same beaten path, he chose a new beginning: clearer in direction, closer to Vietnamese culinary traditions, and more dedicated to creating lasting value for diners.
 
The First Milestone – Quán Bụi Tân Định
In September 2011, the very first Quán Bụi officially opened on a small street in Tân Định, District 1. The area was often referred to as “Little Hollywood” by filmmakers. Quán Bụi was born with a simple purpose: to serve familiar, heartwarming office meals — an alternative to the cafés that were popular at the time.
 
Soon after, Quán Bụi evolved beyond the “set menu” concept and transitioned into à la carte dining. In May 2013, Quán Bụi Original on Ngô Văn Năm Street was launched, becoming a timeless symbol of our journey to preserve and celebrate Vietnamese flavors.

We believe cuisine is more than just food — it is memory, culture, and connection. From a small family meal, Quán Bụi aspires to build a remarkable journey: to become a destination that preserves and shares the essence of Vietnamese culinary heritage, while offering every guest an experience filled with authenticity, warmth, and emotional connection.

Amidst the bustling Korean district, Quán Bụi – Phú Mỹ Hưng stands as a rustic, cozy corner of Vietnam. The Vietnamese cuisine here not only captivates local diners but has also won the hearts of many Korean guests, even Korean media has mentioned Quán Bụi as a must-try destination in Saigon.

With its nostalgic Indochine-style space, the restaurant offers plenty of private corners, perfect for formal business meetings, intimate gatherings with friends, or simply enjoying a familiar Vietnamese meal on your own.

A place where the familiar clink of chopsticks and bowls fills the air, lanterns hang from the eaves, paintings tell stories of days gone by, and the scent of Vietnamese dishes drifts through a lush, green space.
